Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund Reporting
City of Kitchener Community Employments Benefit reporting for projects funded through the Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund
In 2018, the Government of Canada launched the Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF), a national merit-based program investing $2 billion over a ten-year period (2018-2028) to support large-scale infrastructure projects that help communities better manage risks of disasters triggered by natural hazards related to climate change. Given the close alignment of the city’s Integrated Stormwater Management Master Plan (ISWM-MP) with the objectives of the DMAF program, the city was informed it was approved for $49.99M of DMAF funding in the spring of 2019. The city’s successful application for DMAF funding accelerates implementation of several strategic components of the ISWM-MP, which will support the city’s efforts to reduce climate change risks and offset future investment needs that would have otherwise been required to increase the city’s climate resilience.
Projects that are funded through the DMAF program are subject to specific reporting requirements per the agreement between the City of Kitchener and the Federal Government. The following questions are being asked to satisfy the reporting requirements for the DMAF as set out in the agreement between the City of Kitchener and the Federal Government. This survey needs to be completed at the beginning and end of all DMAF projects.
The information you provide here will be kept confidential, accessible only to City of Kitchener, and all results published will be reported in aggregate form with no personal identifying information included. The survey should take approximately thirty (30) minutes to complete. In order to aid in filling the survey, please have on hand the names of employees working on the DMAF related project, total numbers of hours worked by each employee and general company employee statics.
Please note that answering the questions below is voluntary, but will aid the City of Kitchener in satisfying the requirements of the DMAF agreement.
The personal information is collected in accordance with s. 28(2) of Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and will be used by the City of Kitchener to inform policy decisions.
