Flowerbed services order - Kitchener Cemeteries

Kitchener Cemeteries offers flowerbed services for your convenience or for those who do not have the ability to prepare and maintain a flowerbed where their loved one is buried. Note, this service is only available at Woodland and Williamsburg cemeteries.

Flowerbed services - option details and cost

  • Option 1 - no charge
    Preparation of a new flowerbed, 15” deep and as wide as base of monument.

  • Option 2 - $38 + HST
    Preparation of an existing flowerbed.

  • Option 3 - $180 + HST
    Preparation for planting of an existing flowerbed, including supply and planting of the annual bedding plants (plant type chosen by cemetery); maintenance of the plants; watering; removal of plants in the fall; and winter preparation of the flowerbed. Flowerbeds are maintained from early June to late August.

  • Option 4 - $85 + HST
    Watering and fertilizing only of an existing flowerbed from June until late August.
  • Option 5 - no charge
    Removal of a flowerbed or shrub.

Please note:
  • In preparation of spring maintenance, wreaths on tripod stands and decorative items must be removed by April 15th
  • Wreaths on tripod stands are permitted on the grave the Friday prior to Thanksgiving
  • Saddle wreaths secured on top of upright monuments (headstones) are allowed all year
  • Flowers are purchased in large quantities, therefore we cannot offer individual choice of flowers. Plants are chosen for their suitability for sun, shade, and semi-shaded areas

Payments for online orders can be made in by mail or via phone. Orders must be placed by April 30, 2025.

Personal information is being collected under the authority of s. 28(2) of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and will be used for administration purposes regarding flower bed services. This information will be shared with staff who require it for their work as part of their work with Kitchener Cemeteries and will be stored on a server owned by a Third Party Service Provider (eSolutions Group) located in Canada. The personal information collected herein will be used only for the purposes relating to the program and will be protected in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the MFIPPA.
