Rental water heater - new installation, removal, or replacement

Kitchener Utilities' Rental Water Program is only available to residential property owners in the city of Kitchener. To request any changes to a rental water heater, this must be done by the registered property owner.

To request a tank removal, call Marketing at 519-741-2626 option 0 to obtain cancellation information.

If your request is an emergency, such as a natural gas leak/odour, call 911.

If your water heater is leaking in excess, call our 24-HOUR Dispatch Centre at 519-741-2529.

This information will be shared with staff who require it for their work as part of Kitchener Utilities and will be stored on a server owned by a Third Party Service Provider (eSolutions Group) located in Canada. The personal information collected herein will be used only for the purposes relating to the program and will be protected in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the MFIPPA.
