Multi-meter Manifold Request Application

• There will be a cost to build the multi-meter manifold and a one-time standard meter set fee will apply per meter.
• Unit numbers and building permits are required to process the request. The unit number stated on this application must be the same as the unit number stated on the building permit.
• We will require 3-4 weeks to process your request and build the multi-meter manifold.
• Your request will not be processed without a drawning. Please use the Multi-meter Manifold Drawing/Sketch document found on our Multi-residential and duplex homes webpage (section 2) and submit it with your application form.

Please review the multi-meter manifold request process and ensure all steps have been completed:

1. Complete and submit the multi meter request form and sketch.
2. The application will be reviewed and must have the following: sketch/drawing labelled numerically with unit numbers (coordinate with Building Department with permits at 519-741-2312; a quote will be provided and must be signed before any work starts; gas appliances and gas loads must be included; building permits must be in place before the work starts and unit labelling approved.
3. The technician will make contact with the contractor and/or owner once the manifold is built. Piping must be tied into the template.
4. Submit a meter request form to dispatch when ready to utilities.dispatch@kitchener.ca. Customer piping must be permanently tagged with unit numbers before the meter can be set. A meter set fee will apply for each gas meter set. An hourly service call fee will apply if the site is not ready.
5. Submit a final inspection form to utilities.dispatch@kitchener.ca prior to occupancy. A final inspection must be completed prior to occupancy or you could be subject to a fine.
6. It will take approximately 3-4 weeks to process your request.

Personal information is being collected under the authority of s. 28(2) of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and will be used for gas meter set requests . This information will be shared with staff who require it for their work as part of Kitchener Utilities and will be stored on a server owned by a Third Party Service Provider (eSolutions Group) located in Canada. The personal information collected herein will be used only for the purposes relating to the program and will be protected in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the MFIPPA.
