Recently the process has changed and the meter bar will now be installed by a Kitchener Utilities Service Technician. However, when installing the downstream piping, it must align to the template that is available for pick-up in the Stockroom.
There will be a service charge if we follow through with the request and we are unable to set the meter.
We will require at least five (5) business days to process your request.
A one-time standard meter set will apply if everything is ready. Otherwise, the hourly service call will apply.
Personal information is being collected under the authority of s. 28(2) of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and will be used for gas meter set requests . This information will be shared with staff who require it for their work as part of Kitchener Utilities and will be stored on a server owned by a Third Party Service Provider (eSolutions Group) located in Canada. The personal information collected herein will be used only for the purposes relating to the program and will be protected in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the MFIPPA.
