The drawing must include:

• the property line
• the sidewalk (if applicable)
• the existing house footprint
• dimensions of existing and proposed driveway (width and depth)
• dimensions of existing and proposed curb cut (if applicable)
• details of existing and proposed walkways (if applicable)
• City-owned trees and distance from the trunk to the nearest edge of the proposed driveway (if applicable)
• dimensions to any above ground utilities (such as: light post, hydro pole, hydrant, utility box/pedestal, etc.)

If you widen your driveway, the entire driveway has to be the same surface material (for instance, asphalt or concrete). Walkways must be made of a different material and cannot be used for parking. If a City sidewalk exists, walkways must terminate at the sidewalk. If there is no City sidewalk, walkways can extend the length of the entire driveway.
