Saturday farmers' market vendor application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a vendor at the Kitchener Market! Please fill out the form below so we can learn about your business. Completed applications will be reviewed by the Kitchener Market manager.

At the Kitchener Market, we work to select and prioritize:

  • vendors selling produce, grocery or prepared food items
  • vendors who live, work and produce/grow their products within 150 km (or a two-hour drive) from the market
  • vendors who own and operate their own business
  • vendors who can bring a unique offering to the market that enriches the variety and choice available on market day

At this time, we will not be considering applications for permanent vendors carrying:

  • commercially mass-produced products
  • artisanal products (i.e. handmade items, beauty products, clothing, etc.)
  • homewares, electronics or other non-food goods

If you are an artisan vendor carrying non-food products, we encourage you to apply to join our artisan program by filling in the artisan vendor form on our become a vendor page.

We review all applications monthly, but due to operational capacity, we may not be able to return a verdict to prospective vendors in less than 60 days at peak times of the year.

If your application is approved, market staff will call you to set up a meeting and discuss next steps.

Personal information is being collected under the authority of s.11(1) of the Municipal Act and in accordance with s. 28(2) of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA) and will be used to for the Kitchener Market to review and consider vendors. This information will be shared with staff who require it for their work as part of their work at the City of Kitchener and will be stored on a server owned by a Third Party Service Provider (GHD Group) located in Canada. The personal information collected herein will be used only for the purposes relating to the program and will be protected in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the MFIPPA.
