Small Acts, Big Impacts

We know this has been a difficult time for children and youth with many changes to their daily schedules, limited social connections, online learning, loss of employment and cancelled events and activities.

National Youth Week is May 1 – 7, it is a week dedicated to the celebration of youth and the contributions made to their communities. This year, we wanted to shine a light on the small acts that children and youth are doing to help out and contribute during COVID-19 with a fun challenge.

We’re asking children and youth to share their stories, photos or ideas with us and we will share them with the community. Children and youth can be our greatest teachers if we listen, and by sharing stories we hope to inspire and motivate others to do something positive for someone else.

Each week we will draw one name at random from the submissions to win a prize. The winners will be contacted by City staff to make further arrangements.

This program is for ages 4-18.

Please do not include any personal information in your submission such as your last name, address or a photo of yourself.
