Mayor's Advisory Council for Kitchener Seniors (MACKS) Volunteer Application

Thank-you for your interest in the Mayor’s Advisory Council for Kitchener Seniors (MACKS).

Applications received by August 1st will be reviewed for the new term staring in September.

Applications received after August 1st will be kept on file for consideration for subsequent terms, or if a committee vacancy arises during the current term.

Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted in early August. 

MACKS’s Mission
To ensure effective community input to the City of Kitchener regarding programs, services, strategies, and policies affecting older adults in the Kitchener community, enabling them to live well and age well.

Meeting Information
  • MACKS meets monthly on the 1st Thursday morning of the month (Sept. – June). virtually via Zoom, or in person at Kitchener City Hall. An additional 6-8 hours is required monthly for projects or subcommittee meetings.  
  • Meetings are attended by Mayor Vrbanovic and city staff.
  • MACKS is comprised of 12 Kitchener residents aged 55+ who each serve a 3-year term.
